VOLUME COUNTS

Traffic counts are the most basic type of data collected in traffic engineering. Quite simply, traffic counts involve counting vehicles passing a point for varying intervals of time. They can range from 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, to 15 minutes of a peak period.

TURNING MOVEMENT COUNTS
